Finished the build. The shifters are mounted under the seats to allow for a clean short cable run. This thing has a 350 watt scooter motor on the back too, so only 6 speeds are needed (less cabling). The under seat steering worked out well too. I'm building a trailer for it to go camping along the Katy trail here in Missouri. Thanks for the inspiration. ~ Dave Welker
